This was such an awesome project to be a part of. So many great memories made, so much learned, so many tacos and beers consumed.

Some of these LeMons people are way too good at doing stuff with nothing.

Yep! Learned a lot from the main body work guy. Got a crash course in some cool body work techniques, including using an English wheel. It was awesome.

Yeah. The body work guy has done some other crazy LeMons projects too. It’s just nuts.

Lots of people said this car was too pretty to race LeMons. It was, and still is.

Was this the same team that did that really awesome Alfa? A different alfa.

what Renault is it supposed to look like? I love everything but the rear window. wish you would have fully integrated the sleek ghia roof but otherwise still like how it came out

The 155 DTM Alfa that I posted? Yes. Same builder, but different team technically.

It’s supposed to be a Renault-Alpine A210. The bubble window had to go in that way for the proportions of the car. No way the rest of the Ghia roof would have worked.

Yeah that one. The metalwork is insane on both of those.

Thanks! I had a slight hand in that, but will be sure to let Darren, the main builder, know.

I was going to write more or less what you did, however...
Actually “Alpine Renault”. Alpine did not become part of the Régie Renault until much later (in 1973 Renault bought a controlling interest in the company; Jean Rédélé left in 1978).
On the other hand, the one that won Le Mans outright (1978) was a Renault-Alpine A442.
Congratulations for being part of such a fantastic effort, by the way.

fair enough. your window/pillar looks identical to the car you were replicating so well done

You’re right, my bad. haha Was typing that response while taking my morning CPD. So my mind wasn’t quite on task. ;)

That’s amazing, those Alpines are among my favorite sports-racing cars. I would daily drive this.
